Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 September 2026
The short version. MenoKeep has no accounts and no server holding your journal. Your symptom entries are stored on your iPhone, and — only if you enable iCloud — inside your own private Apple iCloud container. We cannot read them. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising, no third-party tracker, and we never sell or share your data with anyone.
Interpretation & Definitions
- We / Us / Our refers to Better Than Yesterday Agency LLC, 32 N Gould St., Sheridan, WY 82801, USA, which publishes MenoKeep.
- App refers to MenoKeep, our iPhone and Apple Watch application.
- Site refers to menokeep.com.
- You refers to the individual using the App or the Site.
- Health Data refers to the symptom entries, treatment records, notes and related timestamps you choose to record in the App.
Our Privacy Commitment
Menopause symptom records are sensitive. Under the UK and EU GDPR they are “special category” data concerning health, which deserves the strongest protection available. Rather than promise to guard a copy of your journal on our servers, we built the App so that no such copy exists: there is no account system, no login, and no database of users. This is an architectural decision, not a policy preference, and it is the reason most of the sections below are short.
Health Data Stored on Your Device
Everything you record — hot flush and symptom entries with their timestamps, custom symptoms you create, treatment and dose records, notes, and your settings — is written to storage on your own device. We have no access to it and receive no copy.
If you enable iCloud on your device, this data may sync between your own Apple devices through a private Apple iCloud container tied to your Apple Account. That container is controlled by Apple’s privacy terms and your own iCloud settings. It is private to you: we cannot query, browse, export or restore it, and no employee or contractor of ours can view its contents. You can turn iCloud syncing off at any time in your device settings.
What the App Sends Over the Network
The App contains no analytics library, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting service that transmits your content, and no third-party tracking of any kind. It makes no network request that includes your Health Data.
The only network activity the App performs is:
- A small configuration read. On launch the App may read one configuration record from a public Apple CloudKit database we control, so that we can adjust presentation of the subscription screen without shipping an update. This is a one-way read. No Health Data, identifier or personal information of yours is sent with it, and nothing about you is written to it. As with any internet request, Apple’s infrastructure processes the connection itself.
- Purchases. If you buy a subscription or the lifetime unlock, the App talks to Apple’s App Store, not to us. See “Purchases & Subscriptions” below.
- iCloud sync, if you have enabled it, as described above — between your devices and your own private Apple container.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, they are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. We do not operate a push server and cannot send you a message. Notification permission can be withdrawn at any time in iOS Settings.
Purchases & Subscriptions
All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see, receive or store your card number, billing address, Apple Account credentials or any other payment detail. Apple provides us with aggregated, anonymised sales and subscription reports — for example the number of purchases in a country over a period — which cannot be used to identify you.
Sharing Your Data
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, insurers or employers. We hold no journal data to share.
When you export the PDF report, that file is generated on your device and goes wherever you send it — for instance to your doctor by email, message or print. That transmission is yours to control and happens outside the App; once you share a report, its privacy depends on the service you used to send it.
This Website
menokeep.com is a set of static pages hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The site sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising or analytics scripts. Our hosting provider processes standard technical request data, such as IP address and user agent, to serve pages and protect against abuse. Web fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which receives the request as a normal part of serving the font file.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict or delete personal data held about you, and to object to its processing — including under the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act. Because we do not hold your Health Data, most of these rights you exercise directly and immediately on your own device:
- Access and export: your entries are visible in the App, and the report export produces a portable file.
- Correction: edit or delete any individual entry in the App.
- Deletion: deleting the App removes its local data. If you used iCloud sync, you can also remove its data from iCloud in your device’s iCloud storage settings.
If you believe we hold personal data about you and wish to exercise a right over it, write to support@menokeep.com and we will respond within the period required by applicable law. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children’s Privacy
MenoKeep is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
Your Health Data is protected by the security of your own device: passcode or biometric lock, and the file-level encryption iOS applies. Data synced through iCloud is protected by Apple’s encryption in transit and at rest. We recommend keeping a device passcode enabled and your operating system up to date. No system is perfectly secure, but keeping your data off our infrastructure removes the largest category of risk entirely: there is no central database of MenoKeep users to breach.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and where the change is significant we will make it clear in the App. Continuing to use MenoKeep after a change means you accept the updated policy.
